Martin and Tedington Woodcraft Folk

Created by David 4 months ago

Teddington Woodcraft Folk were privileged to have Martin attending many of our Summer camps over the years. With his medical background and training he was invaluable as our “go to” first-aid person. He was, more importantly, a fun, knowledgeable and supportive person to have around, always willing to help out. A particularly memorable occasion was during an event to remember the Hiroshima bombings he told the young people about his own experiences when he visited the city. He brought home to all of us present the horror and devastation and made a compelling case for the importance of peace and understanding which is core to Woodcraft ideals and so sorely needed in the world today.

He was also great fun and very happy to pitch in with the general chaos that is created at our annual camp. The pictures below feature costumes that he and John Head (his partner in anarchy) created for a camp fire skit one year.   The last picture is a camp group shot from we the year 2000.

Blue skies and smooth trails Martin, Thanks from all your friends at Teddington Woodcraft Folk.
